space to slow down.

Pausa Sound provides evidence-informed, sound-based wellbeing sessions for individuals and organisations, with a particular focus on neurodivergent-affirming practice.

Sessions are built around how the nervous system regulates: through predictable structure, gentle pacing, and without expectation - arrive exactly as you are.

Our practitioners are trained nurses who have expanded their expertise into holistic medicine, with an approach rooted in preventative, whole-person care.

How can this benefit my team?

The nervous system responds strongly to predictability, repetition, and low-demand environments. These features are the core of how a sound bath works.

Predictable structure
The same format every time. No spontaneous prompts, no unexpected transitions, nothing to anticipate or brace for.

Low sensory demand
No requirement for eye contact, group participation, or verbal sharing. You're free to lie down, close your eyes, and be present.

A settling effect on the body
Repetitive tones and low frequencies, including 432Hz, help the body shift toward a calmer, more regulated state.

Effects that carry beyond the session
Many attendees report better sleep, reduced sensory fatigue, and improved focus in the days following a session.

Meet our founder.

Pausa Sound was founded by Emma, a former nurse with several years' clinical experience in Central London hospitals. Her own ADHD and autism diagnosis, alongside first-hand experience of high-pressure environments, shaped the neurodivergent-affirming approach at the heart of every session.

NEURODIVERGENT MINDS

Before I received my ADHD and autism diagnosis, I discovered sound healing by accident.

I was going through an extremely stressful time in my personal life, and somehow, sound became my escape. It was the first time I'd felt real quiet in my mind and body in a long time.

The healing frequency of the bowls, 432Hz, and the repetitive, predictable sounds resonated so strongly in my body. I felt like I was wearing a weighted blanket. My mind finally began to slow down and rest. I felt safe.

After my diagnosis, things started to make sense. I learned to play my own set of bowls and began holding sessions for others, hoping to share something that had been so valuable to me.

The feedback was undeniable: many others with ADHD were having the same experience I did.

So I decided to tailor my sessions to be neuro-affirming, so those of us with sensory sensitivities can still enjoy the benefits of sound, without the overwhelm that so often comes with trying something new or attending a class.

Our
company vision

“To create accessible moments of calm and clarity within modern working life.”

Pausa Sound exists to help individuals and organisations recognise the value of pausing.

In a world that often prioritises constant productivity - our vision is to make rest, reflection, and nervous system regulation an accepted and essential part of sustainable performance.

Through meditation and sound-based experiences, Pausa aims to support healthier workplaces and more balanced lives.

Client Reviews

“There is something deeply grounding about the environment Emma creates. It goes beyond relaxation; it’s a sense of being supported, of allowing yourself to fully exhale. The stillness she holds, the way the room softens, and the quiet connection that unfolds are difficult to put into words, but they are unmistakably felt.”

— Harrieth Sedrick-Ugo, Founder of Mother's Recharge CIC

“I attended my first ever sound bath with Emma. I wasn’t sure what to expect but she completely exceeded expectations! I suffer with fibroids and towards the end of the session I felt some alleviation in my pain. I think it was the rainstick!”

— Vanessa, Group Sound Bath Attendee

“I joined Emma for a hot sound bath and was not disappointed. I felt so calm and restored after a long week. I didn’t want it to end.”

— Alice, Reformer Collective
